Parking Spotz was born from lived experience.
Our founder, Angelique Mentis, was tired of people constantly stealing her parking spot in her own building. What began as a daily frustration became a life-changing discovery. Drawing on her background as an international corporate lawyer and property developer turned entrepreneur, Angelique decided to do something about it.
That moment led to the creation of That's My Spot, now Australia's leading supplier of automated parking bollards to strata, commercial, hospitality, and government clients.
But Angelique didn't stop there. As technology evolved and the needs of property owners grew more complex, she saw another gap — the "digital desert" of underground carparks, where connectivity is scarce and management is manual. Out of this insight, Parking Spotz was born — a smart-city innovation using IoT, data analytics, and smartphone integration to bring automation, fairness, and efficiency to parking.
